Amyloid Plaque Counting

Product Overview

Indica Labs’ object colocalization algorithms can be used for fully automated amyloid plaque counting. In the example above, the image analysis software has been configured to count amyloid plaques in brain tissue (red). The software identifies individual plaques and reports total plaque count, total plaque area, and average plaque area. The algorithm includes special logic for excluding false positives such as stained artifacts along the tissue section edges. These capabilities allow for fully automated analysis of large batches of brain images.

In addition to accumulating total plaque areas and average plaque sizes, this tool can generate a detailed spreadsheet containing statistics for each individual plaque.

The object counting tool integrates seamlessly into the   HALO™ platform which is compatible with a number of third party systems and   file formats.
