HALO AI CLOUD provides a convenient cloud-hosted option for those who want to give HALO AI a try, but don’t want to invest in expensive hardware or additional software. HALO AI CLOUD utilizes the same deep learning convolutional neural network (CNN) algorithm as our traditional deployed HALO AI product hosted on Amazon Web Services and integrated with the browser-based HALO Link interface to allow users to view images, draw training annotations, and run classifiers from any browser and any device. HALO AI project owners can also invite collaborators to add their own images and training data to any classifier project using HALO Link.

HALO AI CLOUD WORKFLOW

1 DEFINE CLASSES

Determine which classes you would like to detect and segment in the image set.  Classifiers can include any number of classes.  Not sure which classes to segment?  Your HALO AI Cloud trial includes a free project consultation, so we will explain best practices and work with you to set-up your classifier projects.

2 TRAIN NETWORK

Using the annotation tools in HALO Link simply draw around areas representative of each of the tissue classes defined in step one.  Even better, transfer training annotations automatically from serial sections (such as pan-cytokeratin).  Your HALO AI CLOUD trial includes free training, so we will explain all your training options upfront.

3 SHARE PROJECTS

Share your HALO AI projects to allow collaborators to add their own images & training annotations.  This step is completely optional, but recommended since training on images from different sites with annotations from different pathologists can help create a more robust classifier.

4 APPLY CLASSIFIER

After training, classifiers are applied to test images to detect & quantify the area of each tissue class.  For those with HALO, classifiers can also be used within other HALO image analysis modules to select specific tissue class(es) for analysis.  It is completely free to try HALO AI on the CLOUD – no obligations to purchase.
