Lung Quantification

Product Overview

The Indica Labs vacuole quantification software is a multi-purpose tool that can be used for a variety of applications including measurement of airways in lung tissue.. In the example at right, the software has analyzed an H&E stained mouse lung. The algorithm detects the nuclei (marked blue) and the alveolar regions (marked red). Among other things, the software reports average alveolus area, diameter, and perimeter, total nuclear count, total nuclear area, and total alveoli area. The algorithm can also report individual alveoli sizes and can reconstruct or reconnect damaged alveoli in order to accurately measure specimens with severe lung damage.

Lastly, it can generate a histogram representing the frequency of alveoli within specified diameter ranges.

The vacuole quantification tool integrates seamlessly into the  HALO™ platform which is compatible with a number of third party systems and  file formats.
