Immune Cell Proximity

Product Overview

Indica Labs’ Immune Cell Proximity module can be used to count immune cells and measure their proximity to other structures labeled with immunohistochemical stains, such as a cytokeratin marker. This tool is ideal for measuring immune response in tumor margins.

In the example shown above, a tissue biopsy section is stained for cytokeratin and CD8 immune cell marker. The software identifies the red-stained CD8+ cells, as well as the DAB-stained tumor region. CD8+ cells within the specified proximity range are categorized as proximate. The software outputs the number of immune cells, number of proximate immune cells, percentage of proximate immune cells, tissue area, and tumor area.

The Immune Cell Proximity tool integrates seamlessly into the HALO™ platform which is compatible with a number of third party systems and  file formats.
