Steatosis Quantification

Product Overview

The Indica Labs Vacuole Quantification software is a multi-purpose tool that can be used for quantitating lipid retention in liver tissue (steatosis). Lipid droplets are identified, separated, and quantitated on a per cell basis.

In the example above, the software analyzed an H&E stained fatty mouse liver. The nuclei are marked blue and the lipid vacuoles are marked red.

The software reports total vacuole area, average vacuole area, diameter, and perimeter, total cell count, and generates a histogram representing the frequency of lipid vacuoles within specified diameter ranges.

The vacuole quantification tool integrates seamlessly into the   HALO™ platform which is compatible with a number of third party systems and   file formats.
